Welcome to LYKKE Kids - a local, family owned space in the east end of Toronto, Ontario. LYKKE (pronounced lu-kah) is a Danish word that means "joy" and "happiness."

Lainie fell in love with the Danish way of life when her family visited Copenhagen in 2023. The slow, laid back pace. The deep care and consideration for kids. The emphasis on play. It was something she wanted to bring to kids and families in their neighbourhood.

What began as a drop-in space in 2024, has since evolved into an innovative space that is designing new, play-based programs to support the well-being of children in creative ways.

From programs to support little ones starting kindergarten for the first time, to pre-school programs, and school-aged kiddos thriving in LYKKE’s learning environment, Lainie continues to be responsive and imagine new ways to make a difference for kids.

We look forward to meeting you and your family on weekends, when the space is open for families to come and enjoy creative time together!
